Bobby Davidson is a New York City based artist and cinematographer. His practice often dissects the practicality of any one given exploration. Through the use of photography, video, sculpture and installation, Davidson seeks out a greater meaning of perception, identity and consumption. His work has been exhibited with The Center for Photography at Woodstock, The Hillyer Art Space, Red Bull Arts, Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Gallery, The Aperture Foundation and The SCAD Museum of Art. In 2013, Davidson was selected for PDN’s The Curator. His work is part of the permanent collection at The SCAD Museum of Art. Davidson’s commercial cinematography work includes collaborations with brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Armani, OPI and Calvin Klein. He holds an MFA in Photography from The School of Art Media and Technology at Parsons School of Design.
